How It’s Made: Logo Lollipops

Ever wonder how something is made or printed? Us, too! In our new blog series “How It’s Made”, we will explore the different processes and techniques used to create some of our most beloved, creative, popular and unique custom imprinted items. In our first post, we take a look at logo’d lollipops and explore the process all the way from cooking to packaging.

  • Step 1: It all starts the same way, cooking the ingredients to a boil and vacuuming off the water.
  • Step 2: The cooked, colored (by flavor) candy is poured from the steam pot into the carrier to place on the cooling table – adding the flavor.
  • Step 3: After vigorous hand-mixing and pulling, the candy is ready to become fresh lollipops.
  • Step 4: The hot candy is placed into the batch roller assembly to become a candy rope.
  • Step 5: The candy rope is then cut into chunks and headed to the press die and stick inserter.
  • Step 6: At nearly 100 per minute, the lollipops are spun around a carousel on the way to the imprinter for candy head logo printing.
  • Step 7: After printing, the lollipop is cello-wrapped and heat pressed around the candy; afterwards, it is quickly cut into individual pops before dropping off the conveyor belt.

The Result: All of the same order is spread to cool and await their boxes for filling and shipping.
